Welcome to the Walsall Children's Services Procedures Manual

Welcome to the Walsall Children's Services Manual. In the manual, you will find the guidance and information necessary to support you in your social work practice. It consists of different sections, which you can access from the menu bar:

• Contents - this contains our procedures when safeguarding the needs of the children and families we work with;
• Local Practice Guidance - this contains practice guidance, resources, and tools that support and compliment the main procedures in the manual;
• West Midlands Regional Safeguarding Procedures - contain the multi-agency Safeguarding Children Partnership (SCP) procedures for the region. this includes the Child Protection Process and the Regional Safeguarding Guidance;
• The Walsall Safeguarding Partnership website also has information on safeguarding training, procedures, and protocols.
